… the Romans built roads that lasted for a thousand years (you drive on some of them in London), and yet 2000 years later, with all our experience, new materials and technology, after only 2 years our roads here in North Carolina start crumbling and developing gaping holes?
As a cyclist I get to see them close up, sometimes waaay too close up! I’m always dodging potholes, sometimes on new roads! Amazing.
Wait… Could it be because of the government’s monopoly on roads?
